Timeline of our Church History 

September 1926 Started with six-week Revival Meetings 

Store Front Mission - West Xenia Drive 

April 1927 Organized and recognized as Fairborn United Missionary Church 

1931 Services were moved to building which now houses the Fire Department on Board Street 

1936-1937 Construction of a new church building on land donated by Mr. Peter Weimer at Second and Walnut Street, Fairborn 

1946 First radio broadcast – Rev. Pettit 

1950 Additional space added to building 

1950 Radio Broadcast over stations WJEL & WIZE 

1958 Additional improvements to the building 

1968 Land was purchased in Rona Hills after numerous attempts to buy adjacent properties failed 

1969 Name changed to Fairborn Missionary Church after the United Missionary Church denomination merged with the Missionary Church Association to form the Missionary Church denomination 

1971-1972 Construction and completion of our current building 

1972 Name changed to Rona Missionary Church 

1994 Larger fellowship hall, kitchen and restrooms were added 

2000 Narthex, Sunday School classrooms, youth room were added and balcony finished  

2006 Name Changed to Rona Community Church
